Corvis Labs is a small team of developers who fell deep into building with AI — and kept running into the same wall. The models were brilliant. The tooling was chaos.
The Problem We Kept Hitting
Every AI coding tool we tried had the same pattern: impressive demos, production nightmares. LLMs would generate plausible-looking code with subtle bugs, no specs, no review gates — just vibes shipped straight to main.
We wanted a system that would force the AI to think before it wrote. Spec first. Plan first. Security review before a PR opens. A system where the AI does the heavy lifting but humans stay in control at every critical gate.
What We Built
We started with agent-framework-cli — a CLI that wraps GitHub Copilot in a 10-phase governed workflow. Spec before code. Architecture decisions before implementation. Review before merge. It's MIT-licensed and we use it ourselves every day.
Then we built foundry-kit — because Microsoft Foundry is powerful and the developer ergonomics needed work. Also MIT-licensed. Also something we use constantly.
The enterprise platform is what you get when you need these tools to run inside your Azure tenant at scale — with MCP integrations, audit trails, tenant isolation, and actual support.
